The 10th Cebu City Korea Day, held from October 6 to October 8, 2023, at Ayala Center Cebu, marked a joyous celebration of the rich and vibrant cultures of Korea and the Philippines. This annual event, which has grown in popularity over the years, brought together people from diverse backgrounds to share, experience, and appreciate the beauty of Korean traditions and their strong connection with the Philippines.
The 10th Cebu City Korea Day was a cultural extravaganza that showcased the best of both Korean and Filipino cultures. From the captivating performances to the delectable cuisine, attendees were treated to a memorable experience.
Cebu Kpop Stars Grand Finals:
One of the major highlights of the event was the highly anticipated Cebu Kpop Stars Grand Finals. Talented local performers took to the stage to showcase their K-pop talents, captivating the audience with their impressive singing and dancing skills. The competition not only highlighted the popularity of K-pop in Cebu but also provided a platform for aspiring artists to shine.
Korean Food Festival:
Food has always been a bridge between cultures, and the Korean Food Festival at the event was no exception. Korean Consul Song Sewon's presence underscored the importance of diplomatic and cultural ties between the two nations.
Councilor Joy Pesquera, Acting Vice Mayor Dondon Hontiveros, and former Cordova Mayor Mary Therese "Teche" Sitoy-Cho represented local government support and enthusiasm for such cultural exchanges.
