 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐈𝐈 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐮𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐃𝐋



Zonta Club of Cebu II had the fourth annual gift giving for the female persons deprived of liberty, at the Mandaue City BJMP. Such visits done at least twice a year, aims to make happy memories to this marginalized group of women. A few hours of socializing bring so much joy to everyone, Zontians included. A good deed is truly therapeutic.

This year, the women PDLs prepared a short program eagerly participated in by talented inmates, who sang, danced, acted as emcee, and afterwards, one spoke in behalf of all the female wards of the facility, to express their gratitude to Zonta Club of Cebu II, for a fun- filled afternoon.


Zonta Club of Cebu II prepared 166 gift packs, each containing basic needs such as rubber slippers, towels, toiletries, powder laundry detergent. And one item in the gift pack was a lipstick, which any woman appreciates. We did not forget the coffee, candies, biscuits, and chips.

Eating is part of the Christmas party, thus everyone partook of snacks to end a memorable afternoon. Zontians Elsa Basubas, Mildred Simolde, and Regal Oliva were, and still are, the driving forces of this activity.
