SM Supermalls spread holiday cheer to kids through ChriSMiles, an annual project under its Employee-Volunteerism program through the initiative of the HR Department, embodying the essence of Christmas by encouraging employees to share their blessings with those children in need.

Various employee-volunteers from different branches facilitated the distribution of gifts and sweet treats to kids. SM J Mall activated their ChriSMilles program on December 14 with 150 children in need from Barangay Bakilid, Mandaue City.

SM Seaside City Cebu had their activation on December 19 with 50 pupils from Alaska Elementary School, Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City, along with the donated Bears of Joy โ€” SM Caresโ€™ annual charity event in which a customer buys a pair of Bears of Joy for only โ‚ฑ280.00 and get to donate the other to a child in need.

SM City Cebu catered to 50 orphans from SOS Childrenโ€™s Village on December 20 in Barangay Talamban, Cebu City. Finally, SM City Consolacion concluded this yearโ€™s ChriSMiles on December 23 with 450 underprivileged kids from Barangay Tolotolo, Consolacion at Sto. Niรฑo Spirituality Center.






The ChriSMiles project collaborates closely with SM Cares, which is the corporate social responsibility arm of SM Supermalls, supporting initiatives focused on communities and the environment. Its advocacies include programs for the Environment, Persons with Disabilities, Women and Breastfeeding Mothers, Children and Youth, and Senior Citizens.
