This July, SM Supermalls reaffirms its commitment to championing Filipino creativity through Art for Everyone—a vibrant celebration that transforms everyday spaces into welcoming galleries where art and community meet. SM Seaside City Cebu and SM J Mall transform its halls and atriums with works that speak to the heart of local culture and the boundless imagination of Cebu’s homegrown artists.

At SM Seaside City Cebu (Official), the spotlight turns to an expansive showcase at the Upper Ground, Cube Wing (near Footlocker), inviting visitors to linger, discover, and connect with Cebu’s flourishing creative community. Emerging talents and established names share the same stage in a thoughtfully curated display of paintings, sculptures, photography, digital pieces, and mixed media works.

“I’m really glad SM took the step to support, especially local artists. We, local artists, really need this exposure for the community to thrive, and for people to know that there are artworks made by their local community,” said Vladimir Valdehueza, who goes by the artist name “vladzart” and whose works are proudly displayed at SM Seaside City Cebu.

“I appreciate how SM Supermalls champions artists. Their art market has supported over 500 creators across 13 malls since 2019,” Theresa Morales shares. Known in the art scene as "RESE," also exhibits at SM Seaside City Cebu and recognizes how the initiative uplifts both emerging and seasoned creators.

Seasoned artist Ilyn Chua, who is showcasing her work at SM Seaside City Cebu for the third time, values the continued opportunity to reach wider audiences. “I’m thankful that SM gives opportunities to local artists like us to showcase our artworks in the malls,” she says.

Fellow exhibitor Adrian Madarieta echoes this gratitude and highlights Cebu’s rich diversity of talent. “I’m really thankful to SM for giving artists an avenue to showcase their art,” Adrian shares. “The diversity of the artists, especially here in Cebu, is very wide. SM doing this is a big step in promoting the arts here in Cebu.”

Echoing the same passion, SM J Mall opens its doors to an equally inspiring showcase at The Atrium, Upper Ground. An exhibit that feels intimate yet meaningful with works by local talents from Cebu Artists Inc., including Jojo Sagayno, Lida Aguilar, Celso Pepito, and more, bringing together bold abstracts, delicate portraits, and contemporary prints that reflect the skill and heart of Cebu’s creative community.
