๐๐๐๐ฎ, ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌ – It’s Pink October once again, and the ICanServe Foundation Cebu, together with its partners, is spearheading a series of activities to raise awareness on breast cancer, promote early detection, and extend support to survivors.
At the forefront of this advocacy is The People’s Governor, Pamela Baricuatro, who has expressed her full support for the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign. Recognizing the dangers of breast cancer and its impact on women and families, Gov. Baricuatro emphasized the need for government-backed programs that ensure early detection, timely treatment, and sustained support for patients and survivors.
As a woman and a leader, Gov. Baricuatro stands as a strong advocate for cancer warriors. Her commitment reinforces the Capitol’s active role in addressing breast cancer and supporting the initiatives of ICanServe Foundation Cebu.
Joining the campaign are steadfast partners and events that highlight the spirit of solidarity this Pink October:
ICanServe Foundation Cebu officially launched “Dance in Candyland: A Pink October Dance Fitness Party”, a fundraising event set for October 18, 2025 at the Waterfront Exhibition Hall. Organized by Generation Fitness, the event aims to raise breast cancer awareness and fund free mammograms for underserved women. With over 700 participants expected, “Dance in Candyland” combines movement, compassion, and advocacy—reminding the community that every step can make a difference.
SM City Cebu, represented by Drexter Sembrano and Marketing Manager Mharvin Hurboda, continues its long-standing partnership in spreading awareness and encouraging early screening.
Rustan’s Ayala Center Cebu, led by GM Pepet Macachor along with Lourene Buayan and Nes Martillan, will once again host the “Look Good, Feel Good” pampering event for survivors and light up its faรงade in pink as a symbolic reminder for women to prioritize their health.
Tambuli Seaside Resort and Spa has also pledged its support, partnering with ICanServe Cebu to bring meaningful Pink October initiatives by the sea.
Mary Anne Alcordo Solomon, coordinator of ICanServe Foundation Cebu Link, expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of Gov. Baricuatro and the organization’s partners. “This fight is not ours alone. With leaders like Gov. Pam and strong partners by our side, we can continue to spread hope, raise awareness, and save lives,” Solomon said.
Pink October serves as a reminder that early detection saves lives. Through partnerships with local governments, private institutions, and advocates, ICanServe Foundation Cebu continues its mission to empower women and strengthen communities in the fight against breast cancer.
