𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐲𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐧-𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐨
In a heartwarming show of compassion and festive cheer, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) brought the magic of Christmas directly to Barangay Tamiao, Compostela, last January 10, ensuring that children affected by Typhoon Tino could still experience the joy of the season.
The initiative was inspired by CCCI’s earlier event, Magic of Christmas: Cebu’s Gift to Cebuano Kids, held at Il Corso Lifemalls. Many children from Tamiao were unable to attend the original celebration due to logistical challenges, so CCCI made sure the holiday spirit came to them.
During the activity, 100 children received food bags, and a simple yet lively program was organized to bring smiles and laughter to young hearts. Games were played, with prizes sourced from donations collected during CCCI’s 4th General Membership Meeting last December, turning the generosity of Cebu’s business community into moments of shared joy, excitement, and hope.
The event captured the true essence of Christmas: joy, togetherness, and community. Children were free to play, laugh, and simply be children, while families felt the warmth and care of a community that stands with them even in times of hardship.
