CCCI Invites Senior Executives, Business Leaders to Free Executive Training on Circular Economy
CCCI Invites Senior Executives, Business Leaders to Free Executive Training on Circular Economy
As regulatory expectations tighten, supply chains evolve, and customers increasingly demand responsible business practices, forward-looking companies are turning to the Circular Economy as a strategic lever for competitiveness, resilience, and growth.
To support Cebu’s business leaders in navigating these shifts, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), in partnership with the ASEAN Circular Economy Business Alliance (ACEBA), will host “Circular Economy for Business: An Introductory Training” on January 27, 2026, 9AM at Summit Galleria Cebu.
Designed for senior executives and business decision-makers, this FREE executive-level training, supported by the European Union SWITCH-Asia programme, will provide practical, business-oriented insights into how circular economy strategies can:
1. Reduce operational costs and resource dependency
2. Strengthen supply chain resilience
3. Unlock new revenue streams and innovation opportunities
4. Prepare businesses for emerging regulations and ESG expectations
5. Enhance brand value and investor confidence
Rather than theory, the program emphasizes real-world business applications, featuring successful Southeast Asian case studies and proven circular economy models that organizations can adapt to their own operations and strategies.
Participants will gain first-hand insights from ACEBA’s co-convenors and internationally recognized experts:
Ø Mr. Thomas Thomas, Founder and Chairman of ARAIBA Sdn Bhd, former CEO of the ASEAN CSR Network, and current Chair of the ISO 26000 Stakeholder Global Network, with decades of experience advising businesses on responsible and sustainable growth.
Ø Dr. Rene Van Berkel, a globally respected expert in circular economy and resource efficiency with over 35 years of leadership experience across the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), academia, and policy development in Asia and beyond.
As a strategic opportunity, CCCI encourages its general membership, particularly company owners, senior executives, and sustainability and operations leaders, to take advantage of this timely opportunity to strengthen their organizations’ strategic readiness and long-term competitiveness—at no cost.

The ASEAN Circular Economy Business Alliance (ACEBA)
ACEBA was launched in July 2024 as an ASEAN-centric, business-led CE initiative, with the endorsement of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC), the ASEAN Secretariat, and the EU Delegation to ASEAN. ACEBA is an initiative of ARAIBA Sdn Bhd, a purpose-driven, not-for-profit business organization that works to promote and facilitate responsible and inclusive business practices in ASEAN. ARAIBA signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 28 February 2025 with the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) to act as the Philippine country lead for ACEBA.
The activities of ACEBA are further supported by a Technical Advisory under the SWITCH-Asia Policy Support Component.
