Today, it is also becoming a hub where households build new skills, discover income opportunities, and support one another in navigating an increasingly digital world.
However, while interest in online livelihoods continues to grow, practical digital guidance remains uneven, particularly in communities outside major cities. Many families are eager to participate in the digital economy but lack clear starting points or trusted learning spaces.
Globe addresses this gap through the Globe Caravan, a community-based initiative that brings learning and livelihood insights directly to Filipino households enabling them to turn connection into real progress. Instead of expecting communities to navigate digital opportunities on their own, the Caravan meets families where they are demonstrating how digital access can translate into everyday opportunities for learning and earning.
The Caravan’s recent stops in Iloilo and Cebu showcased how connected households can become spaces of shared growth. Through interactive activities and beginner-friendly sessions, families explored how digital access can support skills development and income-generating activities such as live selling and social commerce.
The community, especially the parents, shared how the experience helped them rethink the role of connectivity at home, not simply as a utility, but as a platform that allows family members to collaborate, learn new skills, and explore additional income opportunities together.
“At Globe, we believe that progress starts at home. The Globe Caravan was designed to bring learning, connectivity, and opportunity closer to Filipino families, helping them see how being connected can support education, livelihood, and everyday life,” said Roche Vandenberghe, Globe Chief Marketing Officer.
“Connectivity today is no longer just about access. It’s about what families are able to do together once they are connected. Through the Globe Caravan, we aim to help households discover new ways to learn, earn, and grow as one family,” Vandenberghe added.
For Globe, engaging communities directly is central to making connectivity meaningful. “The Globe Caravan is about meeting families where they are. By bringing this initiative to Iloilo and Cebu, we’re able to listen, engage, and support communities in ways that are relevant to their daily lives,” said Roche Vandenberghe, Globe Chief Marketing Officer.
She added, “Regional communities play an important role in the country’s digital future. Through the Globe Caravan in Iloilo and Cebu, we’re proud to support families as they build skills, explore opportunities, and move forward together with the help of connectivity and Globe.”
By bringing digital learning closer to communities, Globe continues to strengthen its role as a partner in enabling families to navigate new opportunities together, ensuring that connectivity supports not just access, but shared progress at home.
The Globe Caravan continues its journey nationwide, with the next stop scheduled in Cabanatuan in March 2026. More families will gain opportunities to learn, earn, and grow in an increasingly connected world.
