The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) recently concluded a productive meeting with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Visayas Regional Office to discuss the development of the Philippine Beige Book (PBB)-a flagship report designed to capture regional economic developments and provide real-time insights that support evidence-based policymaking.

As one of the country’s key economic hubs, Central Visayas continues to play a vital role in driving national growth. The upcoming regional focus of the Philippine Beige Book underscores the importance of gathering insights and perspectives from Region VII, further strengthening the country’s overall economic outlook and policy direction.

Representing CCCI was its newly elected President, Regan Rex King, who expressed the Chamber’s full support for the initiative, emphasizing its alignment with CCCI’s commitment to advancing data-driven dialogue and fostering strategic collaboration between the public and private sectors.

The BSP delegation was led by Regional Director Anna Clara M. Oville, who highlighted the importance of engaging regional stakeholders to ensure the report reflects timely and relevant economic conditions across the country.
