A new era for world-class entertainment in the Visayas is on the horizon as SM Prime Holdings, Inc. officially gears up for the opening of the SM Seaside Cebu Arena in June 2026.

Positioned to become one of the most iconic event venues in the country, the arena is SM Prime’s second large-scale indoor facility, following the success of the SM Mall of Asia Arena. With Cebu continuing to rise as a key economic and tourism hub, the company is bringing its proven arena model to the Queen City of the South—raising the bar for live entertainment, sports, and major productions in the region.

According to SM Prime President Jeffrey C. Lim, the move reflects the growing demand for globally competitive venues outside Metro Manila. The new arena is expected to attract international concerts, large-scale sporting events, and high-profile gatherings, further boosting Cebu’s position on the global events map.

Rising seven storeys high and designed to accommodate up to 25,000 guests, the SM Seaside Cebu Arena is set to become one of the largest indoor arenas in the Philippines. Its flexible event bowl allows seamless transformation—from full-capacity concerts to more intimate, scaled-down experiences—giving event organizers the versatility they need to mount diverse productions.

The arena will also feature cutting-edge technology, including one of the country’s most advanced center-hung displays paired with immersive LED ribbon boards that create a dynamic 360-degree viewing experience. Backed by high-capacity digital infrastructure and 5G connectivity, the venue is built to support real-time audience engagement and next-level production capabilities.

Premium hospitality is likewise a key focus, with dedicated suites integrated into the design to cater to corporate partners, VIP guests, and private groups. Behind the scenes, the arena is equally equipped to meet the demands of major productions, offering a practice court for performers and multi-functional spaces that can serve as holding areas, breakout rooms, or venues for smaller events.

Even ahead of its official opening, the SM Seaside Cebu Arena has already begun building an exciting lineup of events. Among the early confirmed acts are BINI on July 11, IV of Spades on July 18, TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan on September 5, and international pop band LANY with shows scheduled on November 6 and 12.
