As artificial intelligence reshapes how people, businesses, and governments interact with digital technologies, Globe is accelerating its Future State Architecture (FSA) to build an AI-ready network that will support the Philippines’ evolving digital needs.

Globe is set to transform its network into a more resilient, intelligent, and automated digital infrastructure that can support the next generation broadband, enterprise, cloud, and AI-powered services. The initiative comes 15 years after Globe’s initial network modernization drive that catered to mobile data services. This reinforces the company's commitment to delivering better digital experiences for customers today while preparing for tomorrow's technologies.

Globe entered into discussions with global technology leaders such as Nokia and other partners to reinforce its strategic direction as the telecommunications industry prepares for a future where network traffic will increasingly be driven by AI applications, cloud platforms, intelligent devices, and autonomous systems.

"Technology is evolving rapidly, and networks must evolve with it," said Joel Agustin, Senior Vice President for Network Planning and Engineering at Globe. "FSA will help ensure that Globe is ready for the AI era. By building a resilient and intelligent digital foundation today, we are enabling the next generation of digital services while continuing to provide our customers with reliable, high-quality connectivity."

The network initiative will entail the modernization of its transport layer, expansion of its fiber infrastructure, and strengthen its network resiliency. The desired outcome is for customers to experience more reliable connectivity, faster response times, improved cloud experiences, and better support for increasingly connected homes and workplaces.

The initiative also prepares Globe's network for emerging services powered by AI, from intelligent learning platforms to immersive entertainment, enhanced customer support, and productivity tools for individuals and businesses.
Beyond improving customer experience, FSA positions Globe to meet the growing demand for enterprise connectivity, cloud services, and digital infrastructure as businesses accelerate their AI and digital transformation journeys.

The initiative supports Globe's vision of enabling a more inclusive digital economy by extending advanced connectivity capabilities to more customers across the country.

"The AI era requires networks that are more intelligent, adaptive and resilient, and Nokia is bringing the innovation needed to help make that transformation possible," said Sang Xulei, Senior Vice President and Head of Network Infrastructure, Asia Pacific at Nokia. "By combining our IP and optical network technologies, advanced connectivity and deep expertise with Globe’s Future State Architecture, we can help build a secure, future-ready digital foundation for the Philippines."

As AI becomes more pervasive and embedded in everyday life, Globe is preparing for the future, ensuring Filipinos will have a ready and reliable network with these emerging technologies.
